On Tuesdays, I hang out with my favorite wild creature, Stephen Hawking, the red-tailed hawk. I’ve been friends with this bird since he was a fledgling. He comes and perches on his favorite spot, next to my desk, and watches me work. You’d think that maybe Stephen was looking at his own reflection, but I soon shot that theory full of holes when I began interacting with him. He fluffs up when i come over, turns his head and follows me with lots of interest.
